Submission Checklist

The following items must be provided:

  • Completed entry form
    • *Be sure that only the entry form has company or designer name. All other materials to be free and clear of any identifying information. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
  • Submission materials in .pdf or .jpeg format only.
  • Label electronic project folder as: Caterory_Project title (ie. Commercial_ABC Renovation)
  • Entry Fee

    • With furnishings if applicable

    • *Professional photographs are not required

    • High-resolution (over 300 DPI)
    • Before and after shots (1 of each) of the same space may be combined into a single composite JPEG file only if before and after are labeled.

Special Instructions & Information

  • Eligible to submit entries are ALL Alaska Chapter ASID Practitioner Members in good standing.
  • Entries for projects completed after January 1, 2022, are eligible for submission. Previous award-winning projects are not eligible.
  • Entrants can submit multiple projects, but each project can only be entered in a single category.
  • All project entries from each company must be submitted in a single submission envelope. Incomplete submissions will be disqualified. Refer to the submission checklist for entry requirements.
  • To ensure fairness, submission materials within the envelope and electronic project submission materials should not contain any firm or designer identifying information. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
  • The firm name and designer name should only be included on the exterior of the envelope and the form of payment.
  • Important Guidelines for the ASID Alaska Chapter Contest Entries:
  • By submitting an entry, contestants agree to grant the ASID Alaska Chapter the right to reproduce project images for promotional purposes. It is assumed that all entries are the property of the entrant and that clients of submitted projects have given permission to enter the project. The ASID Alaska Chapter is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the entrant. Note that entry materials will become the property of ASID Alaska and will not be returned.
  • In the case of insufficient or inadequate entries, the ASID Alaska Chapter reserves the right to cancel the category or contest. In this situation, entry fees will be refunded, or the categories will be restructured to allow for fair and proper judging of entries received.
  • The ASID Alaska Chapter is not responsible for lost, misdirected or delayed mail or email.

Jury Process & Criteria

Awards will be given to Projects deemed worthy by the Jurors and Design Excellence Award Committee Based on Design Criteria Form, Design Summary and Project Plans & Photographs.

Legal Notice: Please note that by submitting these materials, you are (1) representing that you hold all original copyrights to materials submitted or that you have obtained written permission from copyright owner to submit these materials; (II) Representing that the materials submitted do not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, right of privacy/publicity, or other intellectual property or proprietary right of any third party; (III) Granting the Alaska Chapter ASID a non-exclusive, perpetual, non-transferable, royalty-free right and license to copy reproduce, display and prepare derivative works from, and distribute publicly, all of your submitted materials in both print and digital format, and in any other media format (no known hereafter invented) for any purpose whatsoever; and (IV) Agreeing to indemnify and hold Alaska Chapter ASID and its officers, directors, members and employees harmless from and against any losses, liabilities, claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees and expenses) that Alaska Chapter SID incurs by reason of or arising out of a breach of any of your representation, Alaska Chapter ASID’s use of your submitted materials and/or your license grant.
